...they are small, but powerful things. There is an unappreciated beauty to them, I think. A thorn can change...everything.

Then the truth is that humanity is the thorn of the third sphere from the sun. A thorn that because of it's self awareness and capacity to alter the environment around it has the tremendous ego to believe that this entire universe is a construct for their sake alone. That a higher power has carefully crafted this immence tapestry for billions of years, waiting anxiously for this realitive eyeblink of time.

Also because of this ego, thorns from different sides of the sphere attempt to destroy each other as if the universe really cares if any of them survive. The only thing that we can be certain of is that the vast swaths of black that separate the beautiful brush strokes of creation will help isolate the harmonious circles of life from poisonous weeds such as ours.
